Faith Hill is named the new ambassador for the Tide Loads of Hope program. The program was inspired after Hurricane Katrina hit and provided familes with clean clothes through a mobile laundry service. The Tide Loads of Hope program provides relief by means of a mobile laundromat. One truck and a fleet of vans house over 32 energy-efficient washers and dryers that are capable of cleaning over 300 loads of laundry every day.
For the past 5 years, Tide Loads of Hope has been helping communities faced with major disaster such Hurricanes Katrina, Gustav & Ike, the wildfires in California and most recently the floods that hit Middle Tennessee and its surrounding areas.
“As a Mississippi native, I have witnessed the damage, both physical and emotional, that Hurricane Katrina inflicted on the Gulf Coast. Since then I have been a champion of the work Tide does to restore a sense of hope and normalcy to those affected by disaster through providing a basic necessity – clean clothing,” says Faith Hill. “And with the recent flooding in Nashville, Tide was on hand again to provide relief to those affected here. I am honored to join Tide Loads of Hope as it embarks on its fifth year of supporting communities in times of great need.”
Its hard to believe the but the 5th Anniversary of Hurricane Katrina is approaching and Tide will be hosting a Live Concert on Tuesday, August 24th in New Orleans starring Faith Hill.
